Three Indian Americans among Johns Creek residents who qualify for 2021 elections

Atlanta, GA, August 20, 2021: Three Indian Americans, Dilip Tunki, Rashmi Singh and Bob Erramilli, are among Johns Creek residents who have qualified as candidates for the City Council 2021 General and Special Election set for Tuesday, Nov. 2. The election is for the Council Seats of Post 1, Post 2, Post 3, Post 5, and the Mayoral Post.

John Bradberry and Brian Weaver have qualified as candidates for Johns Creek City Council Mayoral Post. There is no incumbent for this seat as current Mayor Mike Bodker is not seeking re-election.

Dilip Tunki and Lee Heard Tucker have qualified as candidates for Johns Creek City Council Post 1. The current Post 1 Council Member Lenny Zaprowski is not seeking re-election.

Rashmi Singh and Stacy Skinner have qualified as candidates for Johns Creek City Council Post 2. There is no incumbent for this seat either as current Post 2 Council Member Brian Weaver is not seeking re-election.

Bob Erramilli, Cassandra Littlejohn, and Anthony Shorter have qualified as candidates for Johns Creek City Council Post 3. The current Post 3 Council Member John Bradberry is a Mayoral candidate).

Pablo Cecere and Larry DiBiase have qualified as candidates for Johns Creek City Council Post 5.

Tunki has been a resident of Johns Creek for twenty-one years. He has been married to Padma for twenty-five years and together they have a daughter Sindhu. Twenty-seven years of business experience with engineering and management educational background are the core foundation for his business acumen, says his bio on his website.

If elected Rashmi Singh will be the first Indian American woman to hold elected office in Georgia. Singh has worked in various leadership roles for one of the largest tech companies for 21 years, and has been a Johns Creek resident for four year. Singh graduated from Indiana University with a Masters in Information Science. She lives in Johns Creek with her husband Anil and son Avi. Rashmi also has a son Raj and daughter Raashi, who live in midtown. 

Bob Erramilli has flown combat jets in the Indian Air Force for 14yrs. He transitioned into Software Engineering for Amex, Martin, IBM, etc. For the past 16 years, he has been operating several Doctors’ offices. Erramilli is married to Dr. Syamala for 33 years and they are residents of Johns Creek since 2017. Their son Nik is an attorney.

Johns Creek residents can register to vote on the Georgia Secretary of State website. The last day a person can register is Monday, October 4. Voters can locate their polling place on the My Voter Page website. Early voting beings in select location on Monday, October 12 and ends Friday, October 29.
