Vibha Atlanta recognized by Georgia House for 25 Years of impactful service

Atlanta, GA, March 15, 2024: In a momentous occasion on February 15th, Vibha Atlanta, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality education to children, was honored by the Georgia House of Representatives.

The House passed a resolution recognizing Vibha Atlanta’s remarkable 25 years of impactful work in both India and the United States. The resolution was presented at the Georgia Capitol by Dr. Michelle Au, Representative for Georgia House District 50, and Mr. Jason Esteves, Member of the Georgia State Senate District 6.

The recognition comes as a testament to Vibha Atlanta’s unwavering commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of children. The organization, entirely volunteer-driven, has been a stalwart advocate for quality public education since its inception in 1991. Over the years, Vibha has raised an impressive $24 million, supporting more than 300 projects and positively impacting the lives of over 3 million children.

Expressing gratitude to sponsors, volunteers, and supporters, Vibha Atlanta emphasized the crucial role played by the community in achieving their mission. The organization reiterated its dedication to impactful work, underscoring the importance of continued support to further their goals.

2023 was a landmark year for Vibha Atlanta, marked by the celebration of the 25th-year anniversaries of the Vibha cricket tournament and Dream Mile. The Dream Mile, a 5k, 10k, and half marathon run, has become one of the top 10 races in Georgia, drawing over 3500 participants last year. Vibha Atlanta proudly collaborates with local organizations such as Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, InspireEdu, and the International Community School, contributing to various initiatives and causes.

Dr. Michelle Au, a prominent supporter of Vibha Atlanta, has played a vital role in the organization’s success. Not only has she participated in the Dream Mile for several years, but she has also been the esteemed guest of honor at the 25th-year celebrations of both the Dream Mile and the cricket tournament in 2023.

Vibha Atlanta expressed heartfelt thanks to patrons, sponsors, and the communities they collaborate with, acknowledging their ongoing support and encouragement.
