Cumming, GA, July 21, 2026: The Paramparaa Foundation, in collaboration with Aayana Dance Academy, presented PRAVAHA, an interactive evening of Indian classical dance, music, and storytelling, at Banjara Banquets in Cumming on July 15.
The production, whose name means “flow,” explored themes of life, devotion, and divine energy through a series of choreographed dance performances accompanied by live music and narration inspired by India’s classical traditions.
Unlike a traditional dance recital, PRAVAHA encouraged audience participation by inviting attendees to engage with the performers and learn about the philosophy and symbolism behind the performances. Organizers described the event as an effort to create a dialogue between artists and the audience while showcasing India’s cultural heritage.
The Aayana Dance Ensemble presented a combination of group, solo, and duet performances featuring classical dance techniques and expressive storytelling. Dancers, dressed in traditional costumes and temple jewelry, performed against a contemporary stage backdrop, portraying stories of devotion and mythology through movement and abhinaya.
The approximately two-and-a-half-hour program featured rhythmic dance sequences, expressive dramatic scenes, and devotional pieces. Organizers said the event drew a packed audience from across metro Atlanta.
During the program, Pramodh Reddy of the Paramparaa Foundation and Manogna Balaraju of Aayana Dance Academy spoke about their organizations’ efforts to preserve and promote Indian classical arts in the United States and thanked the community for its support.
Organizing team member Neelima Gaddamanugu also acknowledged attendees, volunteers, donors, and supporters, saying their encouragement helps further the foundation’s mission of preserving India’s cultural traditions for future generations growing up abroad.
The foundation also recognized the support of dance academies and Telugu organizations from across the Atlanta area, as well as event partners including Venkat Kuttua Photography, videographer Raghu Valusani, venue sponsor Banjara Banquets, and Mayuri Creations for décor.
The event was coordinated by Neelima Gaddamanugu, Sandeep Reddy Gundla, Nanda Chatla, Snigdha Nellutla, and Chandrasekhar Althati.
PRAVAHA is part of the Paramparaa Foundation’s ongoing efforts to promote Indian classical arts and cultural education within the Indian American community.
