NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT
New York, NY, July 6, 2024: The Consulate General of India (CGI) in New York has introduced a dedicated platform to assist Indian students in finding internship opportunities at various companies across the United States.
To further support the Indian student community, the portal also lists healthcare experts who can offer psychological and healthcare advice and a list of attorneys who can be approached with the consulate’s reference.
Announcing the launch on their social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the consulate stated: “As part of the initiative to support Indian students in its jurisdiction, India in New York has developed a platform for Indian students to find internship opportunities at companies in the USA.”
A note on the internship platform website elaborates: “This is a new facility for students as part of the Consulate’s effort to support Indian students in its jurisdiction. Several Indian and American companies and organizations have agreed to consider deserving Indian students for internship opportunities. Students are advised to apply directly to the companies as per the details provided in the portal. It may please be noted that the Consulate has no role in selection for internship nor is it responsible for the same.”
