TAMA Celebrates India’s 77th Independence Day with patriotic fervor

Atlanta, GA, September 1, 2023: The Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta (TAMA) marked India’s 77th Independence Day with an impressive celebration at their office on August 15th. Despite the day falling on a Tuesday, approximately 270 individuals of all age groups, including adults, children, seniors, and youth, gathered with great patriotic fervor.

The event was graced by several guests who played a significant role in the festivities. The distinguished guests included retired Major General Dr. R. Siva Kumar, Professor Dr. P. K. Raju, Major Sri. K. Govindaraj, Professor Dr. Krishna Murthy Vadlamudi, Government employee Smt. Bharani, retired Air Force employee, Johns Creek Council member Sri. Bob Erramilli, Air Force employee Sri. Dev Rapuri, and Navy employee Smt. Kanya Kumari. They collectively hoisted the Indian flag, followed by a heartfelt rendition of the national anthem, which was passionately joined by everyone in attendance. The crowd also paid their respects to the flag with a salute.

Notably, the event saw participation from members of various organizations who came together to celebrate this significant day in India’s history.

This celebration marked TAMA’s 18th program in 2023, and the organization continues to undertake a wide range of valuable initiatives catering to all age groups.
