Syndicate Comics partners with The Sid Foundation to raise funds for lung transplant patients

Atlanta, GA, November 21, 2022: Syndicate Comics, also known as the barbershop comic books, is one of the largest comic book stores in the metro Atlanta area. It is a community-centered comic book store that supports local artists and writers and has a huge collection of comics and collectible figures.

The Sid Foundation is a local nonprofit that raises funds and awareness for lung transplant research and supports lung transplant patients with funding and resources. According to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, only 51% of lung transplant patients survive five years after their operation. Thousands of Americans receive lung transplants every year, yet lung transplants have the lowest survival rate of all organ transplants. The Sid Foundation is working to change these statistics. One way they raise funds is by selling the Lung Girl comic book series.

Lung Girl comics are about a 12-year-old South Asian girl who becomes a superhero in her city. She, along with her robot sidekick Ecmo, save the world from bad guys and lung disease. These comics explore lung health issues through a fun and entertaining story.

Syndicate Comics is now selling Lung Girl comics and donating 100% of the proceeds to help lung transplant patients pay medical bills and fund lung transplant research by partnering with. The Sid Foundation. They are currently carrying all three issues of Lung Girl comics in their store.

Syndicate Comics and Collectibles is located in Marietta on Canton Road in the Cobb Antique Mall. If you live in the metro Atlanta area, you can support your local comic book store and a local nonprofit all at once by visiting.
