Stand for Peace with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in Atlanta this week

Atlanta, GA, November 7, 2022: Global humanitarian and ambassador of peace and human values, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of Art of Living, will be in Atlanta between November 8–11. He will be meeting leaders of diverse communities and addressing a cross-section of people during his stay in Atlanta.

“I Stand for Peace” an event in Atlanta will be a special evening of music, wisdom and guided meditation led by Gurudev. This event is open to the public and will be held on Wednesday, November 9 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia. Sri Sri launched “I Stand for Peace” campaign in April 2022 from the United Nations office in Geneva and so far, has taken it to many cities across Europe and the USA. Sri Sri will be in different cities across USA from November 2, carrying his message of peace. Cities included in his current tour are Washington DC, New Jersey, New York, Virginia Islands, Atlanta, Boon Ashram etc., The worldwide sense of helplessness and hopelessness caused by the pandemic, war, and inflation has weighed heavily on the human psyche. According to the World Health Organization, the biggest challenge of the pandemic has been mental health. Gurudev’s fundamental philosophy of a stress-free, violence-free society has inspired and strengthened individuals’ commitment to peace during these turbulent times.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar needs no introduction. He is a global humanitarian, spiritual leader and peace envoy who has been teaching breath-based meditation techniques for health and well-being for more than 40 years to millions of people across the world. Sri Sri has captured the hearts and minds of millions around the world through his meditations, breathing techniques and wisdom. He is an icon of non-violence and seeks global peace through service and fostering human values.

Sri Sri believes inner peace is the key to peace in the world outside. He has progressed peace in conflict-stricken areas such as Sri Lanka, Iraq, Venezuela and Colombia. As a tireless ambassador of Peace, He has delivered his message of peace to the United Nations, The European Parliament, The World Economic Forum, as well as in many universities.
