Event Description:

One of the oldest Indian associations in the country, Nrupathunga Kannada Koota, Atlanta, is celebrating its 40th anniversary.
Event will showcase professionally choreographed Cultural Programs from the Atlanta Kannada community, Film Songs and Bhaavageethe by Karnataka State Awardee Mrs. B.R.Chaaya & group, Kannada Drama by Dr. Ranganath (Huntsville, AL) and much more entertainment. Lunch & Dinner arranged.

About Nrupathunga Kannada Koota:
Nrupathunga Kannada Koota (NKK) is a nonprofit cultural association dedicated to the promotion of Kannada language and heritage of Karnataka State. As one of the oldest Indian organizations, NKK was established in 1973 and was approved as tax-exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service of the United States government in 1984 and is registered in the Corporations division in the State of Georgia. NKK has strived continuously to spread, educate and promote the language, arts & culture of Karnataka, India to the younger generation of its community. NKK, along with organizing cultural events for the community prides in community service by making donations to various causes or working for Habitat for Humanity and supporting kids’ education. NKK has adopted a road in Alpharetta area and is responsible for its maintenance and cleanliness. It awards a $4000 annual scholarship by the generosity of Dr. Subrahmanya & Annapurna Bhat. It has donated to various charitable causes and donated a house in Northern Karnataka to a flood victim family.
