Seminar On Immigration Challenges And New Proposals Affecting Employment Of Indian Nationals In US

Event Description:

The USA India Business Summit (UIBS) has a unique history of being the largest conference in the Southeastern USA that promotes business relations
between the USA and India.

On June 11th, 2013, an immigration seminar is being organized by UIBS, The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), USIBRC and a few sponsoring companies including global corporate immigration law firm, Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP (www.fragomen.com). The seminar will be held at 600 Peachtree Street, N.E., Suite 4200 Atlanta, GA 30308 from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm followed by cocktails and a reception.

Both U.S. companies and Indian-owned companies operating in the U.S. currently face significant challenges in obtaining visas and green cards for Indian national employees. Major changes have been proposed in Congress which will have a dramatic impact on companies that employ highly skilled workers. The proposals would solve many of the current problems but would also create many obstacles and restrictions.

This half-day business immigration seminar will focus particularly on the challenges of, and the changes to, the immigration rules affecting the recruitment and retention of foreign nationals in the U.S.

The format for the UIBS Immigration seminar will be highly interactive, allowing ample time for questions and discussion. Speakers will include industry leaders, government  representatives, and nationally recognized immigration law experts. The June 11 seminar will have a very special lineup of speakers and timely panel topics, including:

• Current Challenges in Recruiting and Hiring Indian National Employees
• Impact of Proposed Legislation on Recruiting and Hiring Indian
National Employees
• Current Challenges in Obtaining Green Cards for Indian Nationals
• Impact of Proposed Legislation on Green Card Availability and Timing
