Atlanta, GA, March 30, 2025- Adhure Sapne, a short film produced by Kamlesh Chugh’s Dreamgirl Productions, has won the prestigious Consumer Award at the South Asian International Film Festival of Florida (SAIFFf) held in Tampa on February 22, 2025.
Chugh, an Atlanta-based filmmaker, expressed her excitement on social media. “Being part of the 2nd South Asian International Film Festival of Florida (SAIFFF) wasn’t just an event—it was a celebration of cinema, talent, and artistic passion! As an artist and filmmaker, I felt truly honored to have my work recognized and appreciated on this incredible platform,” she said.
“This journey would not have been possible without our incredible cast and crew—your dedication and talent brought this story to life!” she wrote.
The film, directed by Shaandil Ishan from Patna, Bihar, features performances by Nandani Ishan, Saumya, Divyanshu, and Mak Mohan. Chugh credited actor Aryan Vaid for introducing her to Ishan and for his support in making the project a reality. She also thanked Hemant Dinkar, CEO of SAIFFf, and Anjani for their encouragement.
The festival provided a platform for independent filmmakers to showcase their work, and Adhure Sapne stood out among the entries. Chugh extended her gratitude to key supporters, including Geeta Khanna, Sanjay Arora, and Priti Zobalia, as well as friends who attended the screening.
With cinematography by Shaandil Ishan and editing by Edit Factory, Adhure Sapne was a collaborative effort. The team also included makeup artist Aakash, art director Nitish, and assistant Gautam.
“This is just the beginning,” Chugh said, hinting at more creative endeavors to come.
The success of Adhure Sapne highlights the growing presence of South Asian filmmakers on the international stage, and Chugh’s win further cements Atlanta’s role as a hub for creative storytelling within the diaspora.
