Atlanta, GA, February 15, 2025: Phase Event Hall buzzed with excitement as over 500 vibrant and unstoppable women gathered for the ultimate Galentine’s Party, an electrifying celebration of friendship, empowerment, and joy. Hosted by Bhawna Jaggi (@socialpanda.atl) and Himanshu DJ Lala (@djlalaatl), the event was a spectacular tribute to the power of women uplifting and inspiring each other.
From the moment guests stepped in, they were welcomed into a dazzling space filled with laughter, music, dance, food, photo ops, and an undeniable sense of sisterhood. The evening featured signature cocktails, indulgent treats, high-energy dancing, and heartfelt toasts, making every moment a testament to the power of connection. It wasn’t just a party—it was a movement of women supporting women, creating lasting memories in an atmosphere of love and celebration.
What is Galentine’s day anyway?
The term was first coined by Amy Poehler’s fictional character Leslie Knope in the second season of Parks and Recreation (2010). In the episode, Leslie describes the holiday:
“What is Galentine’s Day? Oh, it’s only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it… ladies celebrating ladies.”
What started as a fictional holiday has now taken on a life of its own. Today, Galentine’s Day the concept of celebrating female friendships has struck a powerful chord worldwide.
Bhawna Jaggi, an experienced event planner with six years of expertise in organizing public and private events initially came up with the idea for the event post the pandemic with just 60 women, creating a much-needed space for connection. In 2023, the attendance surged to 200 women as the event gained popularity. In 2024 the number rose to 320 setting the stage for even bigger celebrations. This year, Jaggi said, an astounding 520 tickets were sold out in just 15 days! The event’s flyer was released on December 25, and by January 10, every ticket was gone.
“The Vision and Goal The vision behind the Galentine’s Event is simple: to create an inclusive, supportive, and safe environment where women can form meaningful connections, celebrate their achievements, and share their experiences. At Galentine’s, we believe in the power of lifting one another up. “One woman fixes another woman’s crown” is not just a saying-it’s the heart of this event,” Jaggi said.
Beyond celebrations, the Galentine’s Event also gave back to the community. Guests participated in a $2 raffle ticket draw, which offered an incredible $2,500 worth of prizes, including: Two gold coins and Gift vouchers from various vendors. All proceeds from the raffle were donated to Leap to Shine, a charitable organization, raising a total of $1,040 to support meaningful causes.
