Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya hospitalized

Mumbai, July 17 (IANS) Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya have been admitted to Nanavati Hospital after complaining of breathlessness and mild fever on Friday evening. Both had tested positive to Covid-19 on Sunday.

Aishwarya’s husband. actor Abhishek Bachchan, and father-in-law, Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, had tested positive to the coronavirus a day before, on Saturday, and have been admitted to the same hospital since then.

The actress and her daughter were living in isolation at home after testing positive over the past few days.

Big B was the first to confirm his hospitalization last Saturday evening on Twitter, followed by Abhishek. On Sunday, Abhishek had announced on his verified Twitter account that Aishwarya and Aaradhya had also tested positive but would be quarantined at home.

Abhishek’s mother Jaya Bachchan has tested negative.

The Honey Trehan-directed “Raat Akeli Hai” co-stars Radhika Apte and is a crime thriller, while Alankrita Shrivastava’s “Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare”, also featuring Konkona Sen Sharma, described as a satire about two cousins and their quest for freedom. There’s also the rom-com “Ginny Weds Sunny”, starring Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey, and the award-winning animated romance, “Bombay Rose”. There’s also a horror story set in a village in Punjab titled “Kaali Khuhi”, featuring Shabana Azmi, Satyadeep Mishra, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Riva Arora. “Serious Men”, a witty drama based on Manu Joseph’s novel, will star Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Nassar and Shweta Basu Prasad.
