NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT
Houston, TX, June 19, 2026 — A man described by authorities as a repeat burglary offender has been arrested in connection with a break-in at a Subway restaurant in northwest Harris County.
Deputies with the Office of Constable Mark Herman responded on June 15 to a reported burglary at the Subway located in the 24900 block of Tomball Parkway.
According to the constable’s office, deputies reviewed surveillance footage from the business and identified the suspect as Manjinder Singh, whom authorities described as a convicted felon with multiple prior burglary-related convictions.
Investigators later located Singh and took him into custody without incident.
Authorities said Singh was booked into the Harris County Jail and charged with Burglary of a Building. Bond was set at $10,000 by the 497th District Court.
Photos released by the constable’s office appeared to show a duffel bag containing packaged snacks, including chips, cookies, and snack bars that investigators alleged were taken during the burglary.
In announcing the arrest, Constable Mark Herman praised deputies for their investigation.
“Criminals who target businesses in our community will be identified, located, and held accountable for their actions,” Herman said. “I commend our deputies for their thorough investigation and quick work in bringing this repeat offender to justice.”
The constable’s office did not release additional details about Singh’s prior convictions or whether any additional items were recovered.
While authorities described Singh as a repeat offender with prior burglary convictions, no information was released regarding his personal circumstances or whether he had access to support services.
As with all criminal cases, the charge against Singh is an allegation, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
