Sandy Springs, GA, November 13, 2025: SANGAM 2025 was an international music event dedicated to showcasing the vibrant diversity and energy of global music. Held at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center on November 1, 2025, the event was organized by World Music USA, an Atlanta-based nonprofit cultural organization.

Artistic Direction and Performances
The event was directed by renowned composer, producer, and Grammy member Jayanta Pathak. Under his leadership, a remarkable lineup of artists originating from India, Eastern Europe, Turkey, Haiti, Argentina, China, and America came together to share the stage. The program featured captivating performances of Indian classical and traditional music, Eastern influences, contemporary styles, jazz, and classic Western genres. In addition, original compositions by Jayanta Pathak were prominently showcased.

Each musical act was enthusiastically received by the audience, who expressed their appreciation with resounding applause. The event stood out as the first of its kind to encompass music and cultural expressions from the East to the West within a single concert.

Program Highlights
The evening opened with a performance by the Magic Eastern Ensemble, a group of five musicians led by Yao Lu. They presented traditional Chinese music on instruments such as the guzheng and dizi. This was followed by a dynamic flamenco performance by Cristian and Marilia Puig. The evening was anchored by Martha Scarborough.

After a brief intermission, the main concert commenced, featuring the World Music USA team. Notable artists included America’s songbird Myrna Clayton, Indian traditional singer Purnima Mathur, and Hispanic singer Veronica Gleason. The ensemble of musicians featured Jayanta Pathak on lead guitar, James Jez Graham on piano, Dr. Eamon Dutta on rhythm and acoustic guitars, Marla Feeney on saxophone and flute, Wilgens Pierre on bass, Mark Polynice on keyboards, Shivprasad Kotagal on tabla, and Emrah Kotan on drums.

SANGAM has been presented by World Music USA Inc. since 2018, founded by Jayanta Pathak and Dr. Eamon Dutta as a nonprofit organization committed to uniting prominent global music artists from diverse backgrounds and providing a platform to showcase their art and culture alongside mainstream music. Global music has garnered significant recognition in recent years, establishing itself as an important genre within the broader music landscape.
