Spanish Fork, Utah, July 1, 2025: The Utah County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation after multiple gunshots were fired at the ISKCON Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork. The temple, a prominent cultural and spiritual landmark in the region, has also been the target of recent vandalism.
According to a statement from the sheriff’s office, the vandalism began several weeks ago. Deputies responding to the scene recovered several bullet casings from the temple grounds, located near State Street and 8500 South.
“Our office was made aware of several acts of vandalism directed towards the Krishna Temple,” read a statement posted to the department’s Instagram account. “Deputies responded to the Temple and recovered various items of evidence, including casings from the rounds fired at the Temple.”
The case has been assigned to the department’s Investigations Division. Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information that may help identify the perpetrator(s).
“If you were in the area and saw anything suspicious—please call into Central Dispatch,” the statement added. “You can always remain anonymous.”
No injuries were reported, and temple officials have not yet released a formal statement. The motive behind the attacks remains unclear, but the incidents have raised concerns among community members about the safety of religious institutions.
The ISKCON Temple, affiliated with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, is known for its annual Festival of Colors and other cultural events that draw thousands from across Utah and beyond.
