Black Is The Winter Style Essential

The fashion world has taken notice of India’s rich heritage of bright colors beautifully blended with exotic hand crafted techniques of embroidery and weaving, all unique and impactful.

But then, black, which is glossy, sexy, beautiful and the color of the cold winter night has also been used in a strong interplay of techniques by Indian designers, which in turn has attracted some of the biggest fashion names in the world.

Fashion designers have often presented a contemporary look using the Indian art and craft, not to forget Indian makeup and jewelry, that are on the favorite list of the international design fraternity.

Here we examine a few possibilities in black.

Black Velvet Skirt- Black velvet flare skirt with hot pink trim and dull gold motifs with net scarves. This dress looks elegant at any winter evening event. Pair with a black top and a black and gold scarf. Looks stunning with copper eye shadow and heavy liner.

Black Floor Length Gown- This is a floor length long sleeved gown with a high neck in the front and a low cut at the back. Crafted out of black French lace in floral design with a satin lining, this is both sophisticated and elegant. The broad velvet black border makes it all the more beautiful.

Black Chiffon Long Dress- The dress is fashioned out of sleek, crinkle georgette fabric with knit work border and thin silk weaved slip. It has a dramatic gold knit border that runs from its modest high cut front all the way to its sexy bare back .The perfect evening dress for that winter party!

Black Full Sleeves Kameez- The full-sleeved kameez has gold and maroon patch work all over. The border is gold; the yoke is embroidered with open neck pattern. Pair with a net dupatta with a thin gold border.

Jewelry: Minimalism and elegance are in. Wear only diamond earrings with your black dresses. Carry a clutch and wear high heels or pencil sandals. Let your hair down and focus on the bright bronzer for that perfect winter look.
