American Multi-Ethnic Coalition opens chapter in Atlanta; Mustafa Ajmeri named executive director of GSA India @75 Expo 2022

Atlanta, GA, April 7, 2022: Georgia ranks 9th across the nation in the US Census Bureau Diversity Index defined as the probability of two people chosen randomly being of a different race or ethnicity group. Georgia’s index is 64%. The United States has an index of 61%.

A testament to its flourishing diversity, AMEC – American Multi Ethnic Coalition, a grassroot bipartisan organization celebrating 38 ethnic communities across USA founded by Dr. Vijay Prabhakar opened its second chapter on March 6, 2022 in Atlanta at the Ashiana Banquet Hall & Fine Indian Cuisine. The event was hosted by Atlanta’s Mustafa Ajmeri, CEO, Global Entertainment and Media Services, who was announced as National Executive Director of GSA India @75 Expo 2022 by Dr. Prabhakar.

The highlights of the event included the installation of Dr. Rebekah Ratlife as Chairperson Atlanta AMEC Chapter by Governor of AMEC USA, Hon. Dr Zenobia Sowell, introduced by Dr. Clarence Beals Treasurer AMEC with keynote address by Dr. Ajit Pant, President, USA India Chamber of Commerce. The event also featured the Atlanta, GA soft launch of Gala event by The Global Eye Magazine – GSAINDIA @75EXPO 2022 slated to be held in CHICAGO July 27 – 31, 2022, which was announced by Dr. Prabhakar. Dr. Pant provided additional information about the Expo.

Dr Kalai Chellam from Atlanta was appointed as Brand Ambassador GSAINDIA @75 EXPO 2022 by Dr. Pant.

The team from Chicago Dr Vasavi Chakka – GSA Expo Executive Vice President, Anica Dubey GSA Expo Executive Director, Manne Lingaiah Lt. Governor met many prominent personalities from Atlanta.

Ajmeri thanked AMEC Team,  all attendees and guests who were present at the event despite the short notice, extending his gratitude to Swetha Pakala, Sruthi Chittoory, Ricky Walia, and Anwar Ajmeri for their active participation and support for the event. “

On March 16, 2022, Ajmeri was awarded the Lily Prabhakar _ Lady of Love Prize 2022 for his “Dedicated Service And Commitment To the Underserved Population During the COVID Pandemic,” at the Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. by US Congressman Danny K Davis on the occasion of Celebrating 10th Annual Congressional International Woman Day at US Capitol Hill hosted by American Multi Ethnic Coalition and Multi Ethnic Advisory Task Force under the leadership and founder Dr.Vijay G Prabhakar, Dr. Ajit Pant ,Anica Rohatgi Dubey,Urvashi Verma GED TV anchor Prachi Jaitly’ Girish Kapur, METF Vice -Chair, Neelam Saboo,  Phani Krishna , Manne Lingaiah ,Koshy Thomas,  DrJ .John Joseph, New York Chapter Chairman Indian American Business Coalition ). Receipeints of the Award included Atlanta physician Dr Kalai Chellam Parthiban , Hollywood Producer & artist Rashaana Shah ,Dance Guru and Telugu -Tamil film producer & artist Indrani Davaluri , Indica News founder and journalist Ritu Jha ,social activists Madhu Rohatgi and Chandani Duvvuri, popular anchor and host Nilima Mehra, Dr. Vasavi Chakka and community activist from NY / NJ Mehta Suhag.

I am quite humbled by the award and recognition conferred upon me and I take this responsibility very seriously,” Ajmeri said.
