26-Year-Old Man Missing in Grand Canyon; Search Underway

NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT

Grand Canyon National Park, AZ, May 1, 2026: Park officials are searching for a 26-year-old man who was reported missing after he was last seen along a popular trail in the Grand Canyon, authorities said.

According to the National Park Service, Sandarsh Krishna was last believed to be in the area of the Rim Trail along Hermit Road, between Bright Angel Lodge and Mohave Point, sometime between 4 p.m. on April 27 and midnight on April 28. Park dispatch received a missing person report on April 28, prompting an active search operation.

Krishna is described as approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build, black hair, and brown eyes, weighing about 160 pounds. He was reportedly wearing athletic clothing at the time of his disappearance. Officials said there is no vehicle associated with him, leading investigators to believe he may have traveled within the park by taxi or rideshare service.

The section of Hermit Road where Krishna was last believed to have been is one of the park’s most heavily visited areas and is currently accessible only by foot, bicycle, or shuttle service. Search teams are continuing efforts as nighttime temperatures in the area have dipped close to freezing.

As of Friday morning, there has been no official confirmation that Krishna has been found.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen Krishna or who was in the area during the relevant time period to contact park investigators. Visitors are also being urged to review photos or videos taken along the trail that may provide clues.
