Selma, CA, September 17, 2026: A 73-year-old California man known as a “healer” in the Sikh community has been charged with sexually assaulting four women who allegedly sought treatment from him, as police investigate whether there may be additional victims across the state.
Pal Singh of Selma was arrested Sept. 8 following an investigation into complaints from clients who said they were sexually assaulted during treatment sessions at his residence, according to the Selma Police Department.
Fresno County court records show Singh has been charged with four felony counts of forcible penetration by a foreign object, involving four separate women. The charges allege that he digitally penetrated the women without their consent, according to reporting by The Fresno Bee based on the court records.
ABC30, which also reviewed court records, reported that the four alleged incidents occurred between June 2023 and July 2025.
Singh has pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was released Sept. 10 after posting $200,000 bail and is scheduled to return to court Oct. 27 for a pre-preliminary hearing. The Fresno County District Attorney’s Office has obtained a criminal protective order prohibiting him from contacting the four women.
Police said Singh operated from his home in Selma, a city in Fresno County, and described the operation as an unlicensed chiropractic practice. Singh was known as a “healer” within the Sikh community and had developed a clientele that included people who traveled from other parts of California for his services, according to police.
Singh’s attorney, Eddie Ruiz, describes his work somewhat differently. Court filings cited by ABC30 state that Singh practiced acupressure, received training in India and later completed additional online acupressure training after moving to Selma. The filings also state that Singh has no prior criminal record.
Police Cmdr. Tim Cannon told ABC30 that investigators had received multiple complaints from clients about alleged inappropriate touching at Singh’s residence.
“We had multiple complaints from clients about inappropriate touching that was going on at the location, and we were finally able to make an arrest in that case,” Cannon said.
Investigators are now trying to determine whether there are additional alleged victims, including people outside Fresno County.
Cannon said some of the women who sought Singh’s services traveled to Selma from elsewhere and that police believe other potential victims could live throughout California. Investigators have also received secondhand information about other alleged victims who have so far been unwilling to come forward, he said.
“We’ve had allegations for several years, some of them,” Cannon told ABC30. “We’ve also had people who won’t come forward with the information.”
ABC30 reported that Singh had a social media presence promoting his services and that online reviews showed people traveling considerable distances to see him. One reviewer said they had traveled from Canada. Neighbors also told the television station that they regularly saw families arriving at Singh’s residence for appointments.
Court filings provide additional details about Singh’s background. According to his attorney, Singh became a Sikh priest while living in India and continued serving as a priest after moving to California. A character letter submitted to the court by a former president of the Sikh Center of the Pacific Coast in Selma states that Singh served as a priest there from 2010 to 2016.
The allegations have received coverage from several Central Valley news organizations. FOX26/KMPH reported that Singh’s bail was set at $200,000 and that he was released two days after his arrest. GV Wire and the Mid Valley Times have also reported that police are actively seeking people who may have had contact with Singh through his practice.
The investigation remains ongoing. Selma Police are asking anyone who believes they may have been a victim, or who has information about Singh’s activities, to contact the department at 559-896-2525.
Singh is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
