DULUTH, GA, September 29, 2026: The Atlanta chapter of AIM for Seva hosted its 2026 Donor Appreciation Event at Gas South Theater in Duluth on September 27, bringing together supporters for an evening of Indian classical music and dance while highlighting the organization’s work in education, health care and rural development across India.
Led by AIM for Seva Atlanta President Eashwar Money, the event celebrated the organization’s mission of empowering underserved rural and tribal communities while preserving their cultural heritage and roots.
AIM for Seva, or All India Movement for Seva, was founded by Swami Dayananda Saraswathi following a request from Papammal, a young tribal mother from his village of Anaikatti, who approached him seeking help to educate her child. Although Swamiji was nearing 70 at the time, her request inspired him to undertake a mission to improve educational opportunities and living conditions for tribal communities.
That initiative grew into a movement that completed 25 years of service in 2025.
The organization’s vision is to transform society through a network of service and care, bridging the urban-rural divide and empowering individuals to contribute to India’s development. Its mission focuses on value-based education through a network of chatralayas, or free student homes, and vidhyalayas, or educational institutions.
With the support of Swami Dayananda Saraswathi’s followers around the world, AIM for Seva has expanded its programs to 17 Indian states and 3,000 villages.
Its chatralayas provide children from underserved communities with a nurturing residential environment, nutritious meals, clothing, school uniforms, academic support and extracurricular activities that encourage self-discipline, creativity and overall well-being. These homes allow children to pursue their education away from their villages while receiving the support they need to succeed.
The organization’s vidhyalayas offer value-based education to students at levels ranging from kindergarten through doctoral studies, preparing them for higher education or employment in their chosen fields.
Beyond education, AIM for Seva operates health care facilities that treat more than 65,000 patients annually. Its initiatives also include programs for individuals with special needs and farms that employ natural farming methods, sustainable agricultural practices and self-sufficiency.
Each year, AIM for Seva volunteers organize cultural performances across several states in the United States as donor appreciation events. The performances feature artists from India who support Swami Dayananda Saraswathi’s vision and contribute their talents to the organization’s fundraising and outreach efforts.
This year’s Atlanta event featured renowned flautist Shri Pravin Godkhindi, who presented his original composition, Radha: The Epitome of Devotion, in collaboration with Kalakshetra artists Shijith and Parvathy and their team of seven dancers.
The production also featured Vinod Shyam Anoor on mridangam and Sai Vamshi on Indian percussion, bringing together Indian classical music and dance in a presentation centered on devotion.
The musical production was a highlight of the Atlanta event and is scheduled to be presented in several other U.S. states before the artists return to India.
AIM for Seva is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and has consistently received Charity Navigator’s highest rating of four stars, according to the organization.
The Atlanta chapter described the 2026 donor appreciation event as a major success, crediting its volunteers, donors and supporters for helping sustain the organization’s mission of providing education, health care and opportunities to underserved communities across India.
