Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Missing Indian Woman

NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT

Lindenwold, NJ, June 28, 2025: Authorities in Lindenwold are searching for a 24-year-old Indian woman, Simran Simran, who was reported missing on June 25, just five days after arriving in the United States for what was described as a prearranged marriage.

According to the Lindenwold Police Department, Simran is 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs approximately 150 pounds, and was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a white t-shirt, black flip-flops, and small diamond-studded earrings. She has a small scar on the left side of her forehead and does not speak English.

Surveillance footage shows Simran appearing to wait for someone while looking at her phone. Investigators say she did not appear to be in distress at the time. Police believe Simran is using an international phone that functions only on Wi-Fi.

Simran arrived from India on June 20, reportedly for a prearranged marriage. However, police were informed that the marriage may have been used as a means to secure free airfare to the United States. Authorities have been unable to contact any known family members in India and currently have no leads on her location.

Detective Joe Tomasetti is leading the investigation and urges anyone with information to come forward. He can be reached at 856-784-7566 ext. 421 or by email at jtomasetti@lindenwoldpd.com. Anonymous tips may also be submitted through the department’s website: https://lindenwoldpd.opsnetwork.org/tips.
