When it comes to choosing your party lehnga, the choices are endless. Colors, cuts, patterns, fabrics- there is an infinite selection waiting for you! And then, of course, there are different ways of draping and styling your lehnga once you wear it.
This month I have put together my favorite lehnga styles.
1. The classic Rajasthani lehnga- is ideal for weddings, dandiya and all dressy occasions.
2. Hot pink lehnga choli with dots all over on georgette fabric. The borders are kundan and the trim has an antique finish. The short blouse is antique gold with a deep neck. Dupatta is in net with a four-sided border.
3. Chiffon gold lehnga with resham work all over and matching thread embroidery. The dupatta is a combination of kesariya orange and red border with a flat gold trim finish. The blouse is a red banarasi with gold booti. A vibrant burst of color in your wardrobe.
4. Short silk aqua cross color lehnga. Choli is made with embroidered resham and heavy patch work border. Great for mehndi and sangeet.
Makeup & Accessories: Meenakari and kundan jewelry, popular with Rajasthani royalty, is perfect with these lehngas. Flat or uncut stones are set on 24 carat gold jewelry using lac and fine pure gold foils.
Keep the makeup bright and pull your hair up into a fancy updo.
Carry a silk potli.
