Far-Right Activist Calls for Mass Deportation of Indians

NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT

Syracuse, New York, December 31, 2025: An American journalist and right-wing activist, Matt Forney, warned of violent attacks against Indian-origin people in the United States and Hindu temples in 2026, while calling for the mass deportation of Indians from the country, according to a now-deleted post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

In the post, Forney claimed that what he described as “Indian hatred” in the U.S. would reach a “boiling point” next year, resulting in widespread violence.

“Indians will be racially singled out for violence, Indian-owned businesses will be vandalized, Hindu temples will be hit with bombings and mass shootings,” he wrote.

Forney further alleged that the perpetrators of such attacks would not be white Americans but members of minority communities, and claimed that the media would suppress coverage of such crimes.

“The media [will] cover up hate crimes they would otherwise eagerly blame on MAGA and Trump,” he wrote.

Presenting deportation as a measure to prevent violence, Forney added: “As someone who wants peace in America, I deplore all violence, and there is only one way to stop it. For their own safety, we must DEI: Deport Every Indian.”

The post drew widespread criticism online, with several users accusing Forney of issuing a veiled threat rather than condemning violence. One user responded that the internet “is forever” and questioned whether Forney was attempting to justify the coercive removal of Indians from the U.S. under the guise of concern for their safety.

Who is Matt Forney?

Matt Forney is an author, journalist, and publisher based in New York. He has written extensively online and has run the blog MattForney.com. His work has appeared over the years in publications and platforms including Taki’s Magazine, Alternative Right, Return of Kings, The Spearhead, The Peach, and Misery Tourism.

Forney has frequently targeted Indian and Indian American communities in his writings and social media posts. Among his past blog posts is one titled “5 Reasons Why You Should Not Date Indian Girls,” which drew criticism for its derogatory portrayal of Indian women.

In 2018, Forney founded Terror House Press, an independent literary publishing house, and served as its chief editor until 2024.

More recently, Forney was dismissed from the conservative media outlet The Blaze in November after making anti-Indian remarks on social media. At the time, he had been covering Indian affairs and H-1B visa issues for the outlet. Acknowledging his termination in a post on X, Forney wrote that he had been “let go” and that his social media activity was cited by the publication as “concerning.”
