US Woman Goes Viral ‘Looking for Indian Husband’

NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT

New York City, NY, September 18, 2025: New York’s Times Square has seen its share of billboards, buskers, and bewildered tourists, but last week it gained a new attraction: a young American woman brandishing a handwritten placard that read, “Looking for Indian Husband.”

The 11-second video clip, shared on Instagram by creator @logielingo, shows the woman standing calmly amid the neon chaos as costumed characters mill around her. Even Spider-Man made an appearance—though she seemed disinterested in web-slinging proposals.

The post has since racked up tens of millions of views and tens of thousands of comments, ranging from genuine offers of matrimony to cheeky skepticism. One wag wondered if Times Square’s famous Naked Cowboy might also be contemplating a cross-cultural union.

As it turns out, this isn’t just an impromptu act of cross-cultural matchmaking. The influencer has given her antics a storyline: she calls her character “Gigi Angrezi,” a “delusional firangi girl from Ohio” who stars in a self-styled game called Shaadi Quest In this quirky quest, Gigi is chasing “Desi Points (DP)” — “like XP, but for my self-worth,” as the caption explains.

Whether she finds her Indian husband remains to be seen. But for now, she has already married two favorite pastimes of the internet age: looking for love and going viral.
