Woman Accuses Brown Dad of Trafficking His Own 6-Year-Old Daughter

NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT

San Jose, CA, September 9, 2026 — A California father says a routine Sunday morning walk with his 6-year-old daughter turned into a disturbing confrontation after a woman accused him of sex trafficking the child, apparently because the two have different skin tones.

Video of the encounter, posted on TikTok by the father under the handle @yosemiteshyam, shows a woman speaking to the pair from inside a vehicle in San Jose’s Almaden area. The father describes himself as “brown” and his daughter as “half-white.”

“That’s a white little girl, and you are a man of color,” the woman can be heard telling him in the video.

She then says she wants to make sure the child is not being sex trafficked and raises the possibility that the father could be “buying or selling or trafficking” her.

The father repeatedly tells the woman that the girl is his daughter.

According to his account accompanying the video, the confrontation began before he started recording. He said the woman approached them multiple times in their neighborhood and questioned his daughter about whether she was being trafficked.

During the recorded exchange, the woman also questions the father’s immigration status and claims to have connections with federal authorities.

“I work with the feds,” she says at one point. She also refers to “facial recognition.”

There is no publicly available evidence establishing that the woman works with a federal agency, and her statements about federal connections remain unverified.

The confrontation becomes increasingly heated, with the woman invoking religion and telling the father that he would “burn in hell.”

The father said he reported the incident to the San Jose Police Department. The woman has not been publicly identified, and no arrest or charges related to the encounter have been reported.

The video has drawn attention online because the woman explicitly refers to the racial difference between the father and daughter while questioning their relationship.

The father’s full identity and ethnicity have not been publicly confirmed. His TikTok handle includes the name “Shyam,” and he describes himself as “brown,” but there is not enough verified information to establish that he is Indian or Indian American.

The encounter also highlights an issue faced by some multiracial and adoptive families, whose relationships can sometimes be questioned by strangers based on differences in physical appearance.

California Attorney General guidance on identifying possible human trafficking focuses on indicators such as signs of physical abuse, inability to leave a situation, coercion, lack of control over identification documents and fearful or submissive behavior. Racial differences between a parent and child are not identified as an indicator of trafficking.
