Riverdale, GA, July 13, 2026: The Hindu Temple of Atlanta marked America’s 250th Anniversary of Independence with a special prayer ceremony on July 4, bringing together hundreds of devotees in gratitude for the freedoms, opportunities, and values that have made the United States a beacon of hope for generations.
The celebration featured a unique offering of 250 flowers and 250 sacred Deepams (lamps), symbolizing gratitude, peace, hope, unity, and prayers for the nation’s continued progress and prosperity. Devotees gathered before Sri Venkateswara Swami, Sri Ramalingeshwara Swami, and all the temple deities to offer prayers for the well-being of the United States and its people.
Temple priests led a special Sankalpa, invoking divine blessings for peace, harmony, prosperity, and strength for the nation, while honoring those who have dedicated their lives to protecting the freedoms cherished by all Americans.
