Sudhir Agarwal in GAT 25 Most Influential Asian Americans in Georgia list

Atlanta, GA, June 9, 2023: Sudhir Agarwal is among the 25 people named by Georgia Asian Times (GAT) in its annual list of Most Influential Asian Americans in Georgia. In celebration of the Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, GAT honors the 25 individuals who have make an impact in business, government, politics, social work, education, judiciary, and areas that influence every aspect of a Georgian’s daily life. Individuals are recognized for their contributions and dedication in their roles within the community.

The list of “most influentials” are submitted through online nominations and vetted by a committee comprising of civic leaders, ethnic media, and the Board of Editors from Georgia Asian Times. Out of approximately 100 online nominations, the committee narrowed its final 25 honorees.

Sudhir Agarwal serves as the current President of Asian Pacific American Council of Georgia (APAC). Agarwal is active with various social and professional organizations in Atlanta including the Chapter President of IIT Alumni Association of Atlanta and the “Indian Professionals Network”, an organization founded in 1992 bringing professionals of Indian Origin together. Agarwal is the Executive Council member of International Day of Yoga (IDY) which works closely with various Yoga Organizations to promote Yoga for Health and Mind. He started with an Initiative called ‘SprinklingSmiles’ in 2020 with his wife Swati through which he was able to help donate more than 200,000 meals including packaged foods, PPEs and groceries to needy in US and India. The organization also organizes a monthly Food Donation drive for homeless people in Atlanta. They also donates blankets for homeless in US and India during winters.
