South Forsyth Vibha Youth Club hosts inaugural BloodBond event

Atlanta, GA, June 24, 2024: The South Forsyth Vibha Youth Club hosted the first annual Vibha Atlanta BloodBond on May 17th, 2024 at the James Creek Clubhouse. Initiated by Radhesh Gupta and Murari Kothagundla, this event demonstrated their commitment to supporting the community’s blood supply.

BloodBond came into being as Radhesh and Murari wanted to create more awareness and also help in addressing the shortage of blood in Atlanta.  Interactions with donors and research around donations led them to work with the American Red Cross.

Their connections with Vibha Atlanta and the James Creek community enabled them to reach over 800 homes, ensuring that every appointment was filled. The event was a resounding success, with 19 units of blood donated, significantly contributing to the effort of saving lives and inspiring community members to support this vital cause.

“The South Forsyth Vibha Youth Club extends its heartfelt thanks to the donors for their dedication and contributions,” said a press release sent out by the club. “Vibha Atlanta is proud to announce that this effort helped save over 57 lives. We are eagerly looking forward to hosting the second BloodBond next year, continuing this life-saving mission,” it added.
