Atlanta, GA, June 13, 2023: Sankara Nethralaya kicked off its mid-year campaign in Houston with a musical concert. Playback singer Parthu Nemani and Houston professional singers Sarada Akunuri, Harsha Sista & Sri. Swara Veenapani enthralled the house full of audience with popular devotional songs in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Tamil languages. The organizers also paid tribute to legendary musician late Padma Vibhushan awardee Dr. SPB on what was his birth anniversary.
“This is the first in-person program in Houston after I became a Board of Trustee of the prestigious Sankara Nethralaya organization,” said Narayan Reddy Indurthi. “We missed our Past President Smt. Leela Krishnamurthy Ji during the show due to an unavoidable situation. Many popular community leaders came and supported this noble cause. Thanks to Sankara Nethralaya Board of Trustees and EC for their unconditional support. Special thanks to President Bala Indurti garu for believing in me and proving all the guidance and support. Thanks to Sri Acharyaji for his blessings.”
Indurthi said the organization has received 2 MESU Adopt-A-Village sponsors (Dr. Narender Reddy Chemarla and Krishadev Reddy Lattupally) for Telangana. Narender Reddy runs a veterinary clinic and Krishna Dev Reddy owns Biryani Factory Restaurant.
“We are estimating the total pledges received during the show is $35,000. Both Adopt-A-Village donors are coming to July 1st Meet ‘n Greet event with Dr. Prem Sagar Reddy in Dallas,” Indurthi added.
