Atlanta, Sept. 12, 2024: Raj Sardana, Chairman and CEO of Innova Solutions, has been appointed as one of the 21 new members of the Carter Center’s Board of Councilors, increasing the advisory group’s membership to 228. The Board of Councilors plays a key role in advancing The Carter Center’s mission of promoting peace and health worldwide by engaging influential leaders to support and amplify the Center’s work.
The Board fosters connections between The Carter Center and the broader Atlanta and Georgia communities, allowing members to stay informed about the Center’s activities through regular updates from Carter Center CEO Paige Alexander and her team.
“Our Board of Councilors creates an intimate link between The Carter Center, the city of Atlanta, and the state of Georgia by helping us to promote the work and mission of the Center in the councilors’ communities,” Alexander said.
Raj Sardana brings a wealth of experience to the Board. As the CEO of Innova Solutions, a global IT and consulting firm, Sardana has established himself as a successful entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in investment, technology, and workforce management across various industries. Sardana founded ACS Solutions in 1998, rebranding it to Innova Solutions in 2022. Under his leadership, the company has expanded into a global organization that, along with its subsidiaries, employs more than 50,000 professionals worldwide and reports annual revenues approaching $3 billion. Innova Solutions has over 50 office locations in the United States and offshore development centers in India, Taiwan, and Mexico.
Throughout the growth of Innova Solutions, Raj has remained committed to giving back to communities worldwide. Along with his wife, Nita Sardana—Vice President of Community Outreach and Corporate Giving—Raj has led Innova in supporting various U.S.-based nonprofit organizations, including the YWCA’s Teen Girls in Technology Program, Women in Technology (WIT), and the Atlanta Food Bank. In India, where Innova operates several offices and delivery centers, the company supports the Earth Saviours Foundation, an NGO in Delhi that focuses on social consciousness and environmentalism.
Before founding Innova Solutions, Sardana served as President and CEO of Applied Communications, Inc., a multi-media and technology company in Atlanta, Georgia. He also led a multi-million dollar private equity group with diverse investments in the real estate, retail, and service industries and has experience in the aviation, defense, venture investment, and financial services sectors.
Raj Sardana holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech, and an Advanced Management Certification (AMP) from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
With his extensive leadership experience and commitment to philanthropy, Sardana is expected to play a significant role in strengthening The Carter Center’s efforts to address global challenges. He joins a distinguished group of new councilors, including Reginald McKnight of Google, Wonya Lucas of Atlanta Braves Holdings, and Joia M. Johnson of Global Payments, who bring diverse expertise and influence to the Board.
