JET USA Atlanta celebrates annual Prajna Day in Cumming

NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT

Cumming, GA, June 4, 2024: JET USA Atlanta hosted its annual Prajna Day at Shiloh Point Elementary School, celebrating the cultural performances and academic achievements of its students. This event highlighted the dedication and talent of the students who have been part of the Prajna program throughout the year.

Prajna, a program by the Jeeyar Education Trust (JET), aims to enrich children with cultural values and guide them to use their knowledge for a happier life. The curriculum includes ancient scriptures like the Vedas and Upanishads, fostering a holistic development of students. They learn selective chapters of the Bhagavad Gita, stories of ancient sages, and engage in activities like yoga, meditation, and singing prayers.

The event showcased various performances and projects, reflecting the students’ hard work and dedication. “It’s inspiring to see the children embrace these teachings and grow into well-rounded individuals,” said one of the teachers.

JET USA, a non-profit global organization, is committed to enhancing human life through education, service, and ancient wisdom. Guided by HH Tridandi Chinna Srimannarayana Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji, the organization promotes learning in ancient Vedic scriptures.

This year, the Prajna program operated in three centers: Cumming, Alpharetta, and Peachtree Parkway, with over 80 students and 15 teachers, including young volunteers. Registration for the program starts in the fall, and classes run until summer, concluding with the annual Prajna Day event.
