India’s Ministry of Culture and Heartfulness to host Global Spirituality Summit at world’s largest meditation center

Atlanta, GA, March 7, 2024: The Ministry of Culture (Special Cell) and Heartfulness are going to hold a one-of-a-kind Global Spirituality Mahotsav that will bring spiritual heads from all faiths and beliefs to one place with the largest meditation center in the world, viz., Kanha Shanti Vanam, the headquarters of Heartfulness in the outskirts of Hyderabad. The Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, and the Hon’ble Vice President of India, Mr. Jagdeep Dhankhar, will grace the summit on 15 and 16 March respectively. This four-day spirituality summit being brought by the Ministry of Culture (Govt. of India) and Heartfulness is themed as ‘India’s unique role and contribution in galvanizing the world on a global spiritual path’. The conference is aimed at bringing a confluence of inter-faith dialogues and help people of every age and every walk of life connect with spirituality in daily life. The summit is also aimed at bringing individual peace for world peace.

The Hon’ble Minister of Culture, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, recently met with the heads and representatives of many of the spiritual and religious organizations in the country at Kanha Shanti Vanam to lay a roadmap for the upcoming Global Spirituality Mahotsav. Over ……………. participants are expected to participate. The summit is slated to host various panel discussions, cultural programs associated with spirituality, an exhibition showcasing India’s spiritual history, narratives of peace, and an immersive experience for spirituality through books and music. There will also be panchkarma centres set up for those who want to avail wellness and therapeutic sessions. The role of eminent people from film, music, and sports in sensitizing people to partake of the Global Spirituality Mahotsav is also being sought, and elaborate arrangements for the participants are also being discussed.

Some of the organizations coming together for the Global Spirituality Mahotsav are AOL,R K Mission, Parmarth Niketan,  Mata Amritanandamayi, Patanjali Yogpeeth, Isha Foundation, Meditation[ED1] , All India Imam Organization, Shrimad Rajchandra Mission (Jainism), International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), Shrimani Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee, Archbishop of Mumbai, Tukdoji Maharaj, Gyaneswar, Chinna Jiyar Swami, and Shri Ram Chandra Mission.

The Hon’ble Minister of State for Culture, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, said, “This is a unique opportunity for our spiritual leaders to come together and raise awareness so as to overcome stereotypes or biases, march towards the oneness of humanity, and raise our consciousness. This is the dawn of a new era in terms of unity in the real sense.”

Daaji, Guide of Heartfulness and President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, said, “I am very happy that the Ministry of Culture has joined hands with Heartfulness to bring various leaders for the oneness of mankind and raise collective human consciousness. It is the time wherein human beings can look beyond religion and other belief systems, and turn their attention inwards to become aware of the Single Conscious Force that binds us all together. Our goal is to unite humankind and progress towards the Ultimate Destination.”

Heartfulness offers a simple set of meditative practices and lifestyle changes, first developed at the turn of the twentieth century and formalized into a teaching through the Shri Ram Chandra Mission in 1945 in India. It’s goal is to bring peace, happiness, and wisdom to one heart at a time. These practices are a modern form of Yoga designed to support contentment, inner calm, and stillness, compassion, courage, and clarity of thought, as the first steps towards a purposeful life. They are simple, easily adopted, and are appropriate for people from all walks of life, cultures, religious beliefs, and economic situations, who are over the age of fifteen. Ongoing training in Heartfulness practices continues at thousands of schools and colleges, and over 100,000 professionals are meditating in corporations, non-governmental, and government bodies worldwide. More than 5,000 Heartfulness Centers are supported by many thousands of certified volunteer trainers and millions of practitioners in 160 countries.
