The opening marked an important milestone for the local Heartfulness community, providing a dedicated space for meditation, wellness programs, and community engagement. In his message, Consul General Ramesh Babu congratulated the Heartfulness community on the new center and emphasized the value of creating spaces where people can come together for inner growth and self-development. He also praised Heartfulness’ afforestation efforts through Forests by Heartfulness, noting that large-scale community-driven environmental initiatives play an important role in supporting global sustainability goals and addressing climate and ecological challenges.

A video presentation highlighted Forests by Heartfulness, a global initiative focused on afforestation, biodiversity conservation, water restoration, soil regeneration, and sustainable agriculture. The presentation also showcased Kanha Shanti Vanam near Hyderabad, the international headquarters of Heartfulness, where large-scale environmental restoration efforts have transformed barren land into a thriving green campus.

Among the guests was Forsyth County Commissioner Todd Levent, who reflected on the importance of environmental stewardship and responsible development. He spoke about local efforts to preserve green spaces and encouraged greater awareness of gardening, sustainability, and community involvement in caring for the environment.

Subash Razdan, a longtime supporter of Heartfulness, spoke about the need for inner peace in today’s world. “Heartfulness is creating positive change one heart at a time,” he said, adding that practices that promote peace and understanding are especially important for future generations.

Johns Creek City Council member Bob Erramilli highlighted the broader impact of meditation and service. Referring to the new facility, he remarked, “This is not just a location. It is a temple of peace,” describing it as a place where individuals can grow personally while contributing positively to society.

Neera Bahl congratulated the organizers and reflected on the environmental transformation highlighted in the presentations. She noted that projects such as those undertaken by Heartfulness demonstrate what can be achieved through vision, dedication, and collective effort.

Sanjay Sehgal, who leads Heartfulness activities across Georgia and Tennessee, thanked volunteers and supporters who helped establish the Alpharetta center. He expressed hope that the facility would serve not only Heartfulness practitioners but also the wider community through wellness programs, meditation sessions, and outreach initiatives. “We hope this center becomes a welcoming place not only for our meditation community but also for the wider community through wellness, self-development, and service,” he said.
