Atlanta–Abu Dhabi Flights See Strong Demand as Etihad Plans Daily Service

NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT

Atlanta, GA, August 12, 2025: Just over a month after touching down in Atlanta for the first time, Etihad Airways says demand for its new Abu Dhabi route has exceeded all expectations—so much so that the airline is fast-tracking plans to operate daily flights starting this November, months ahead of schedule.

The UAE’s national airline launched its Atlanta–Abu Dhabi service on July 2, making Atlanta its fifth U.S. gateway alongside New York City, Chicago, Washington D.C., and Boston. Operated with Etihad’s state-of-the-art Airbus A350-1000, the service was initially scheduled at four flights per week. But record-high load factors and a surge in early bookings from both leisure and corporate travelers have firmly cemented Atlanta’s place as a key market for the carrier.

“Atlanta is a dynamic city with deep cultural, economic and aviation significance,” said Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways. “The response to this route has been phenomenal—so much so that we’re moving to daily flights later this year. It’s a clear sign that travelers are eager to discover everything Abu Dhabi has to offer.”

The route opens up seamless access for Southern U.S. travelers to destinations across the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Asia. It also offers the convenience of U.S. Customs and Border Protection Preclearance at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport—the only facility of its kind in the region—allowing passengers to arrive in Atlanta as domestic travelers.

Etihad’s A350 features 44 private Business Suites with sliding doors, fully flat beds, and wireless charging docks, along with 327 Economy Smart Seats equipped with 13-inch touch screens and Bluetooth connectivity. Complimentary chat packages on Wi-Fi keep passengers connected throughout the journey.

For those heading east, the new service means easier access to Abu Dhabi’s blend of modern attractions and rich heritage—from pristine beaches and theme parks to world-class museums and vibrant culinary experiences.
