NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT

A deadly car crash claimed the life of a one-year-old toddler, while his brother and parents are battling severe injuries in a Florida hospital.

The family was driving home on Friday, March 29, from a Cranial Facial therapy session for their 11-year-old son, Advaith, in Tampa, FL. The family of software engineers, Bommidi Anusha and Kommareddy Susheel, along with their two sons, were struck by tragedy on a highway in Jackson County, Florida.

According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, the car carrying the family of four was attempting to overtake another vehicle when it lost control and veered off the roadway on Friday night. The vehicle, driven by Susheel, subsequently careened onto the grass and collided with a tree. The car continued its trajectory until it struck a second tree, as per The Times of India.

The impact of the crash left the couple and their two sons with severe injuries. The youngest, 1-year-old Shreyas, sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Tallahassee, Florida, where he fought bravely for his life. However, tragically, Shreyas succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, April 1.

Meanwhile, Anusha and Susheel, along with their elder son Advaith, were rushed to a hospital in Dothan, Alabama, for urgent medical treatment. Anusha suffered multiple fractures to her left leg and face, while Susheel and Advaith continue to fight for their lives in the intensive care unit, facing a long and arduous road to recovery.

A GoFundMe account has been set up for the family.
