Rubrik CEO Bipul Sinha Invited All Employees to Board Meetings

NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT

Palo Alto, CA, June 9, 2025: For nearly eight years after founding Rubrik in 2014, CEO Bipul Sinha invited all employees to attend the company’s board meetings—a practice he says fostered transparency and alignment during the firm’s early growth phase.

In a recent episode of The Logan Bartlett Show, Sinha shared that Rubrik held its board meetings in large conference rooms where any employee could attend, sometimes sitting on the floor due to limited space. Employees were allowed to ask questions during the meetings, making the sessions highly interactive rather than presentation-based.

“We’ve had situations where people actually asked hard questions in the middle of the board meeting,” Sinha said. According to him, as many as 800 employees joined some of these sessions.

Sinha, a former venture partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, said the decision to include employees in board discussions was driven by a desire to create company-wide clarity on goals and direction.

“It is a direct result of this idea of transparency that really created alignment and velocity,” he said. “Everybody knew where we are going and what needed to be done.”

Rubrik, a cloud data management and cybersecurity firm, went public in April 2024. The company is currently valued at $19 billion.
