Atlanta, GA, August 11, 2024: The models of the Ms Georgia USA 2024 pageant hosted by Oitijhyo and Lucky WE2 had it all—the ABCs that every model should possess: Attitude, Beauty, and Confidence. Held on August 4, 2024, at Reflections Event Hall, the event featured two distinct beauty contests. The first was the traditional Miss, Mrs., and Teen Georgia USA competition, and the second was the Oitijhyo Beauty Contest, where models showcased their creativity by wearing Oitijhyo clothes in their own unique style, mixing and matching pieces to reflect their personal fashion sense.

This year’s pageant crowned four remarkable women who shone in their respective categories: Surya Sana as Miss Georgia USA 2024, Priya Dharmendran as Mrs. Georgia USA 2024, Sai Krithika as Teen Georgia USA 2024, and Nilam Kaushik as Ms. Avant Garde Georgia USA 2024. The Oitijhyo Beauty Contest was won by Beena Gajjar.

A highlight of this pageant is the Ms. Avant Garde category, which sets this pageant apart from others. Unlike traditional categories like Miss Congeniality or Miss Smile, the Ms. Avant Garde category challenges contestants to push the boundaries of fashion and creativity. Participants dressed in elaborate and imaginative costumes, each telling a story or representing a unique concept. This year, the audience was treated to an array of spectacular outfits, including interpretations of a peacock, a waterfall, Cleopatra, and even an ensemble made entirely of newspaper. However, it was Nilam Kaushik who took home the crown with her stunning Angel and Devil theme, complete with white and black wings, symbolizing the duality of good and evil. In my opinion, this category is what makes the Oitijhyo WE2 USA Pageant truly grand and a spectacle to behold.

Organized by Anusmita and Lucky, the pageant was inspired by their own experiences in the world of pageantry. After entering and winning several pageants, they realized the transformative power of these platforms. They set out to create a space where every participant could experience the true essence of pageantry—the confidence it instills, the opportunities it provides, and the platform it offers to make a difference in society. “Our mission is to empower each contestant through personalized grooming and mentoring,” Anusmita explains. “We prepare them not just for the pageant, but for the bigger world. It’s about building confidence, fostering a sense of family, and supporting each other’s missions and dreams.”

Oitijhyo WE2 brings a fresh perspective by involving non-Indian judges, ensuring a fair and diverse evaluation of the contestants. Furthermore, the organizers offer around-the-clock personalized grooming, creating a platform where participants can shine not only during the pageant but also in their future endeavors. “We don’t just see this as a one-time event,” says Anusmita. “We build a family with our participants. We support them, promote them, and help them navigate through different platforms even after the pageant is over. This is why the pageant is so close to our hearts.”

At the heart of the pageant is Oitijhyo, a boutique founded by Anusmita. What started as a small, local business has blossomed into a brand recognized on prestigious platforms such as New York and LA Fashion Weeks, and even the Oscars.

The success of the Oitijhyo WE2 USA Pageant is also owed to the support of its sponsors, who played a pivotal role in bringing this event to life. This year’s sponsors included Vogue Events, Aru Salon, Keyurah, Just Entertain, Suman Event Photography, Nehal M Photography, DJ Gowtham, and itecbrains.

Anusmita and Lucky are committed to continuing this tradition, helping participants grow in confidence and preparing them to take on the world with poise and purpose. As the curtain falls on this year’s event, the excitement for next year is already palpable.
