Dr. Nyayapathi’s Painting Wins First Place At Portrait Society Of Atlanta’s Summer Exhibition

Atlanta, GA: City based artist Dr. Sivananda Nyayapathi’s painting recently won first place award at the Summer Juried Exhibition held by the Portrait Society of Atlanta.

Three of his paintings were selected for the exhibition held at the Mable House Art Center in Mableton, Georgia.

Dr. Sivananda Nyayapathi, a long time resident of Atlanta, has a Doctorate from IIT, Kharagpur, and is currently working in the IT industry.  He is a self-taught artist and has been painting and winning awards since childhood.  After coming to USA, he pursued his passion for art by learning from great modern day international masters like Daniel Greene, Burton Silverman, David A. Leffel, Dawn Whitelaw, Michael Shane Neal, Jim Schell and Nancy Honea.

Sivananda has exhibited in many one man and group shows in India and USA.  His art work has been included in International Contemporary Masters Volume V in 2011, Best of World Wide Oil Painters in 2012 and National art magazines like American Art Collector, Fine Art Connoisseur, Art of the West and Atlanta Style & Design.

Dr Nyayapathi’s entry was also a finalist at the First Juried Salon Show of Oil Painters of America, Petoskey, Michigan. In February of this year, his painting won first place at the Winter Juried Exhibition of Portrait Society of Atlanta.He was also a finalist, 2013, 2012, at Salon International, San Antonio, Texas.

He is an Associate Member of Oil Painters of America, Portrait Society of America, International Guild of Realism and American Society of Traditional Art; a Signature member of Atlanta Fine Arts League; a Juried member of Portrait Society of Atlanta.
