NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT

Boston, MA, May 29, 2025: Anjali Sud, the Indian-American CEO of streaming platform Tubi, has been elected to Harvard University’s Board of Overseers, one of the institution’s two principal governing bodies. Her election follows the resignation of Mark Carney, who stepped down from the board on March 9, 2025, after being elected leader of Canada’s Liberal Party and subsequently becoming the country’s 24th Prime Minister.

Sud, a 2011 graduate of Harvard Business School, brings a wealth of experience in media and technology to the board. Prior to her role at Tubi, she served as CEO of Vimeo, where she led the company’s public offering in 2021. She also holds board positions at Dolby Laboratories and Change.org.

Her election comes at a time when Harvard faces challenges regarding the relevance and value of higher education in the digital age. Sud has emphasized the importance of adapting to technological advancements and ensuring that institutions like Harvard remain at the forefront of educational innovation.

The Harvard Board of Overseers, established in 1642, plays a crucial role in guiding the university’s strategic direction, providing counsel on priorities, and maintaining the institution’s commitment to excellence.
