Governor Kemp Appoints Narender Reddy to New Georgia Transportation Efficiency Authority Board

NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT

ATLANTA, GA — Indian American community leader Narender Reddy has been appointed by Brian Kemp to serve on the board of the newly created Georgia Transportation Efficiency Authority, a state agency established to improve transportation planning and operational efficiency across Georgia.

Reddy announced the appointment this week, describing it as an honor and an opportunity to continue contributing to Georgia’s transportation future after more than two decades of public service.

The Georgia Transportation Efficiency Authority (GTEA) was created through legislation approved by the Georgia General Assembly in April 2026. The authority is intended to consolidate expertise, strengthen coordination, and bring a more business-oriented approach to transportation governance. It will assume and streamline key transportation functions previously carried out by the Atlanta-Region Transit Link Authority and the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority.

“For the past 22 years, I have had the privilege of serving on the Board of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority,” Reddy said in a statement. “I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the people of our great state and to contribute to Georgia’s transportation future through this new role.”

Reddy’s lengthy tenure on the GRTA board spans the administrations of three Georgia governors. He was appointed by former governors Sonny Perdue and Nathan Deal, and later reappointed by Governor Kemp.

The newly formed authority is expected to focus on improving transportation efficiency, mobility, and economic development as Georgia continues to experience rapid population growth and increasing infrastructure demands, particularly in the Atlanta metropolitan region.

Reddy thanked Governor Kemp for the appointment and expressed his commitment to working alongside fellow board members to advance the authority’s mission.

“Thank you to Governor Kemp for his confidence and trust,” Reddy said. “I look forward to working with my fellow board members to help advance transportation efficiency, mobility, and economic growth across Georgia.”

A lifelong businessman and entrepreneur, Reddy brings decades of experience in banking, finance, and commercial real estate to the new authority. He earned his M.B.A. from the University of Evansville and has been a Georgia resident for more than 35 years.

Reddy is the owner and president of Sterling Realty Services, Inc., a commercial real estate company. He also served as a founding director of Quantum National Bank, where he drew on his real estate expertise to help evaluate commercial lending opportunities and loan applicants.

The appointment marks the latest chapter in Reddy’s long involvement with transportation policy and regional planning, areas that play a critical role in supporting Georgia’s economic competitiveness and quality of life.
