We visited Srirangam Veg Restaurant on a Friday evening around 7 PM, and it turned out to be a great time to go. By 8 PM, the place was packed, with people already waiting for tables – always a good sign!
Ambience & Service
The ambience is modern yet rooted in South Indian aesthetics – clean, vibrant, and welcoming. The lighting and décor give it a slightly upscale feel without being too formal. Service was prompt and attentive throughout our visit.

Food Highlights
The food was truly the star of the evening – authentic, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented.
Almost every item was presented on a plate with a small banana leaf.
- We started with Gobi Manchurian (mild), which was perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. Definitely a great pick if you enjoy Indo-Chinese dishes without too much heat.
- On our server’s recommendation, we tried the Vazhaipoo Vadai. While the name sounds fancy, it tasted quite similar to snacks commonly found at our local Indian grocery stores – tasty, but not particularly unique.
- For mains, the Rocket Dosa was a showstopper – visually creative and fun to eat. They even offered to top it with chocolate sauce, which we did not opt for.
- The Chef’s Special Dosa was delicious, paired with a standout sambar that was rich and comforting.
- The Mushroom Kothu Parotta was flavorful and satisfying, though it leaned spicier than expected – even after requesting mild – so something to keep in mind.
What We’re Trying Next Time
The table next to us had filter coffee served in an authentic brass cup, and tandoori paneer tikka, which came on a sizzling plate – both looked fantastic and are definitely on our list for the next visit.
Overall Verdict
Srirangam delivers top-notch vegetarian South Indian food with a menu that feels authentic and slightly elevated. Great ambience, solid service, and standout dishes make this a place worth revisiting.
