Who is “Ketamine Queen” Jasveen Sangha Who Pled Guilty in Matthew Perry Death Case?

NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT

Los Angeles, CA, August 22, 2025: Jasveen Sangha, the Indian-origin woman once known in Hollywood circles as the “Ketamine Queen,” has agreed to plead guilty to federal drug charges in connection with the death of Friends star Matthew Perry, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Monday.

Sangha, 42, admitted to supplying more than 50 vials of ketamine to Perry through intermediaries in the months before his death in October 2023. Perry, beloved worldwide for his role as Chandler Bing, died of acute ketamine intoxication that left him unconscious and drowned in his Los Angeles hot tub.

Born to Indian parents, Sangha grew up partly in Britain before moving to California. She attended Calabasas High School, earned her bachelor’s degree from UC Irvine in 2005, and later completed an MBA from Hult International Business School in London. In Los Angeles, she projected a glamorous, jet-setting lifestyle, cultivating friendships with celebrities while secretly running a lucrative underground drug distribution network from her North Hollywood home.

Under her plea agreement, Sangha admitted guilt to five counts: one for maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of distributing ketamine, and one count of distribution resulting in death or serious bodily injury. She had initially faced nine charges; prosecutors dropped several in exchange for her guilty plea.

Each charge carries a significant prison term. Prosecutors said Sangha could face up to 65 years behind bars—20 years for operating the drug-involved premises, 10 years each for the three ketamine distribution counts, and 15 years for the count tied to Perry’s death. Sentencing will be determined by a federal judge at a later date.

Sangha is the final defendant among five people charged in Perry’s death to agree to plead guilty. Others include two physicians, Perry’s personal assistant, and an intermediary who helped supply the drugs.
