Mumbai, June 10 (IANS) Actor Aditya Pancholi’s son Sooraj Pancholi, has been arrested by Mumbai police in connection with the suicide of actress Jiah Khan, an official said Monday.
Senior Police inspector Arun Bhagat of Juhu police station, where the case has been registered, told reporters: “Sooraj has been arrested under Section 306 of the IPC – abetment of suicide. He will be presented tomorrow at Andheri court.”
“The IPC section pertains to abetment of suicide, and Sooraj Pancholi will be presented before a magistrate Tuesday morning,” Bhagat told media.
The arrest came barely two days after Jiah Khan’s family handed over a note penned by her to police. The note was recovered by the actress’ kin three days after her suicide June 3.
