GATeS kicks off yearlong food drive with donations to The Place of Forsyth

Atlanta, GA, January 20, 2023: Greater Atlanta Telangana Society (GATeS), through its service-oriented community outreach program, kicked off its yearlong food drive for 2023 with food donations to The Place of Forsyth. The January donation was contributed by Anil Kusunapalli and his family.

The Place of Forsyth serves Forsyth and Dawson counties of Georgia with financial emergency assistance, clothing, food, educational opportunities, and numerous support services.

GATeS team 2023 is planning food drives each month in several places in Atlanta and back home in Telangana and seeking donors and volunteers to participate in this initiative. GATeS volunteers who participated in this initiative included Janardhan Pannela, Chalapathi Vennamaneni, Ramana Gandra, Ramakrishna Gandra, Anil Kushnapalli, Arun Kavati,  Vijaykumar Vinjamara, Prabhakar Madhupati, Aashrit Marripelli, Harish Kamal Kishore, Prem Salida Kumar Marripelli, Vishwakteju Pannela Ritvik Chennamaneni, Geethika Chennamaneni, and Vikhyathrana Pannela.

“Students who participate in the drive will be awarded volunteer hours,” food drive Chair and board of director Ramakrishna Gandra said. He also thanked president of GATeS 2023 Mr. Janardan Pannela, Chairman Srinivas Parsa, EC ( Sandeep Reddy Gundla, Naveen Battini, Ramana Gandra, Kirthidhar Goud Chekilla,Chalapathi Vennamaneni,Ganesh Kasam,Naveen Vujjini ,Raghuveer Reddy) and BOD (Prabhakar Madupathi,Ramachary Nakkerty,Jyothsna Palakurthi, Geetha Narannagari) for their continuous support. Anyone willing to donate or participate in this food drive can contact the volunteer wing coordinator at GATeS.
