FREMONT, CA, MAY 30, 2024: In what might have been the most daring daylight robbery at a jewelry store in history, 17 men stormed Bhindi Jewelers in Fremont, California, on Wednesday afternoon. They smashed display cases at gunpoint and cleared the store of its gold and diamond jewelry.
The men, who wore hoodies and bandanas, broke open the glass double doors to the store, according to our source. As the traumatized staff ran and locked themselves inside the back office, the thieves cleaned out the inventory, a couple of them even returning after loading their getaway car to grab some more loot. The entire burglary lasted a little over 2 minutes.
A video of the aftermath of the robbery is being shared on social media. In the video, a voice can be heard saying, “15 people just started smashing away. Luckily nobody is hurt.”
“One suspect ran towards the mall, the other towards the high school.”
Investigations are currently underway.
Bhindi Jewelers is a well-known name in Indian jewelry and watches, with branches in California and Atlanta.
