Farmer donates $100k to Salvation Army & Rideout on 99th birthday

Atlanta, GA: Hardial Hunji, a former walnut farmer from Yuba City donated a total of $100,000 to the Salvation Army Yuba Sutter Corps and the Rideout Health Foundation on his 99th birthday.

On February 2, Hunji donated $40,000 to the Salvation Army and $60,000 to Rideout. Hunji’s donation to the Salvation Army will support the organization’s food pantry. The group held a dedication service and birthday party with Hunji and his family after receiving the donation, reports Action News.

“Had a wonderful time being invited by the Hunji family to the HinduTemplefor their anniversary celebration. Great people and excellent Indian food! Mr. Hunji made a significant donation to our Social Service food pantry for his 99th birthday!” a statement on The Salvation Army Yuba Sutter Corps Facebook page said.
