Vendorship team honored by Fulton County Government

Atlanta, GA, May 25, 2023: The Fulton County Government Board of Commissioners proclaimed May 17, 2023, as ‘Vendorship Appreciation Day’. The Proclamation was sponsored by Commissioner Khadijah Abdur-Rahman, and cosponsored by Vice Chair Ellis and Commissioners Bridget Thorne & Natalie Hall.

Vendorship Inc. was established in January 2018 out of the need for a liaison between innovative solutions providers (in IT, construction, commodities, and other professional services) and government offices for better functioning and the flourishing communities they serve. Dr. Nazeera Dawood, CEO of Vendorship, and several team members have worked in public executive administration for decades. As a result, they understand the Request for Proposals (RFP) and procurement process and the demands that drive those requests. The RFP process is designed to be results-oriented and impartial. Still, the requirements tend to be complicated, unintentionally discouraging new innovators.

Vendorship Inc. operates as an extension of the client’s team, with various experts who help shape business-development assets and connect them to evolving public-sector needs. Vendorship’s customer proposal-writing journey also takes care of any documentation, registrations, and government certifications such as state, county minority, women-owned, federal GSA & 8a certifications.

Darryl Ricardo Matthews Sr., Director for Business Development at Vendorship and a former City of Atlanta procurement officer, states, “Vendorship’s custom program coaches and assists global companies of all sizes and industries to submit and secure revenue-generating contracts with local, county, state, and federal U.S. governments. When we help businesses, we also help local governments attract more competitive solutions for their needs.”

Previously, The Georgia House of Representatives read and adopted House Resolution 591 recognizing January 19, 2022, as Dr. Nazeera Dawood Reaffirmation of Diversity in Patriotism Day. The House Resolution 591 was sponsored by State Rep. Angelika Kausche and co-sponsored by State Reps. Todd Jones & Josh McLaurin. The Vendorship team visited the Georgia State Capitol for a tour and was honored with the Resolution for their contribution and service to the Greater Atlanta community. State Rep. Angelika Kausche presented the Resolution and wished the team much success in future endeavors.

Vendorship’s team now includes several business development advisors and core-committed business partners. Vendorship Inc, has a global presence and has expanded into a $5 million sales revenue business. In addition, Vendorship has assisted small to midsize companies with more than a $30 million government contract revenue stream.

Madhu Chatterji, the Director for Federal Contracting at Vendorship, says, “Small businesses like ours are often the drivers of innovation, as we are more agile and adaptable. We understand the process of government contracting and contribute to diversifying the economy. Fulton County’s recognition will inspire us to redouble our efforts, work harder to serve the community, and make a lasting difference!
