Shruthilaya celebrates Composers’ Day with two events

Atlanta, GA, May 10, 2019: Shruthilaya Carnatic music school celebrated its Composers day event for two days this year- On February 3rd at the Shirdi Sai temple and on March 23rd at Chinmaya Niketan, Norcross.

At the Shirdi Sai temple event, Saint Tyagaraja’s Pancharatna kritis were rendered by teachers and senior students.

Students who appeared for theory exam were recognized and awarded certificates and trophies.

At the Chinmaya Niketan event, students from all levels participated and presented songs of great composers.

Many students were awarded with completion certificates for their lessons.

The accompanying artistes for both events were

Suresh Kothandaraman and his students on percussions, Dr. Ravi Subramanian, Anand Krishnan on the guitar and violin, Ramnath on the flute, Usha Venkatachalam on the veena and  Jassotha Balasubramanian’s students on the violin.

Both the events were blissful and well attended by all students and parents.
