NRI PULSE STAFF REPORT
Salesforce will expand its Georgia footprint with a $15 million investment in Fulton County, a move state officials say will create more than 250 new jobs over the next three years.
Governor Brian Kemp announced the project earlier this month, noting that the cloud-software company already supports more than 2,000 jobs across the state. The new positions, expected to be added by the end of 2028, will strengthen Salesforce’s existing presence in metro Atlanta.
In a statement, the Georgia Department of Economic Development said the expansion reflects continued confidence in the region’s workforce and business climate. State and local officials have billed the project as another sign of Atlanta’s growing appeal as a hub for global technology companies.
The Metro Atlanta Chamber also welcomed the announcement. Kristi Brigman, the chamber’s Chief Economic Development Officer, said the expansion demonstrated that metro Atlanta remains a competitive destination for high-growth industries. “Our region’s talent, connectivity, and collaborative mindset make growth like this possible,” she said.
Dylan Horne, Project Manager of Economic Development at the chamber, added that the initiative showcases the strength of local partnerships. “Bringing quality jobs to the area and supporting companies committed to this region is a win for our economy and our residents,” he said.
Salesforce did not release specific details on the types of roles that will be created, but the company described the investment as part of its long-term strategy to build the future of cloud technology and expand in key U.S. markets.
The project adds to a series of recent technology-sector commitments in metro Atlanta.
