Atlanta, GA, November 9, 2023: In a Diwali message shared on his official YouTube channel, Senator Jon Ossoff extended warm wishes to all, emphasizing the festival’s significance in fostering unity, hope, and the triumph of good over evil.
“I want to first wish all of you a happy Diwali. Diwali is a time for families, friends, and communities to come together and celebrate the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.”
Acknowledging the current divisive state of politics both nationally and globally, Senator Ossoff highlighted the parallels between the conflicts tearing societies apart and the overarching message of Diwali.
“It’s no secret our politics are dividing us right now, and we see around the world the conflicts tearing human beings apart. But Diwali reminds us to have hope that we can still choose good over evil, that we are still united as one, and that we can come together to solve our common problems and make our world a better place.”
“I hope you all make time to spend with family during this holiday because there’s nothing more important than family,” he added.
Expressing deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve in the United States Senate, Senator Ossoff reiterated his commitment to being an effective representative. “It is, as always, a deep honor to serve you in the United States Senate.
